Produced from the fruit off a single vineyard planted in 1941, 2008 Thiele Road Grenache presents a pale ruby-purple color and gives vague notes of baked raspberries and strawberries with some dusty earth and baking spice hints. Full bodied with plenty of straightforward berry and spice fruit, it has a medium level of silky tannins, enlivening acidity and a long warm berry finish. Drink this one now through 2015. The 2007 Thiele Road Grenache offers up aromas of kirsch and raspberry. Full-bodied and spicy on the palate, earth and gingerbread notes emerge to complement the sweet fruit.
