The 2007 Sirocco Blanc Boushey Vineyard, a blend of 37% Marsanne, 33% Grenache Blanc, 20% Picpoul, and 10% Roussanne. An expressive perfume of mineral, wax, melon, and baked apple jump from the glass, Round on the palate with good acidity, the wine has excellent depth and a medium-long, pure finish. Drink it over the next 3 years. Doug McCrea is one of Washington’s leading proponents of Rhone Ranger style wines. He gets considerable credit for getting Syrah underway in the State.
