The La Spinetta 2019 Moscato d'Asti Biancospino (closed in a screw cap bottle) pours forth with a golden straw color and bright aromas of star jasmine, peach blossom and honey. Moscato fruit is harvested from the Coazzolo vineyard, and the fruit is fermented in autoclave using the traditional charmat method of making sparkling wine. My sample had moved slightly past its freshness stage to show some pine nut and almond husk. This production of 90,000 bottles is made for immediate drinking.
