This wine reveals a minty, chocolatey, cassis-scented nose, followed by a soft, fat, low acid, plump wine with good fruit and a chewy, satiny finish. It possesses a good Shiraz character, as well as an appealing, up-front style. Drink it over the next year. This is a very good effort from Forest Glen, a winery that appears to back up its aggressive advertising campaign with competent products.(Reviewed because it is one of "America's Best Selling Wines" - according to retailers and/or the trade magazine Impact. )
