The 2013 Savigny-les-Beaune Blanc, which was ready for bottling when I visited the domaine, has an attractive nose with citrus lemon and orange rind notes, just a hint of ginger. The palate is well balanced with a “soft” entry, an easy-drinking and light white Savigny with attractive notes of almond and brioche toward the finish. Fine, if missing some tension and breeding.
