The white 2017 Galdent was produced with the Viognier grapes from 23-year-old vines and fermented in new French oak barrels, where it matured with the lees and batonnage for six months. It's super perfumed, with notes of flower, fruit gums and plenty of spice, smoke and toast, quite marked by the new oak. It's exuberant and showy, with flavors derived from the oak and a kind of bittersweet finish. Only 500 bottled were filled in April 2018.
