Though Frascati was once known entirely for white wine, Bordeaux varieties do well in the local volcanic soil, and they are joined in the 2001 Quattro Mori by Syrah as well. A firm ruby in color, the ripe berry fruit, tar, graphite, and minerals are accompanied by a round, medium-weight palate, good shape and definition, and elegant, polished tannins on its well sustained finish. Drink: 2005-2014.
