The 2016 Cannonau di Sardegna Anzenas is almost all Cannonau, with a small 10% of complementary red grapes. Like Cantine di Dolianova's entry-level Vermentino, this red wine is easy and fresh, offering a no-fuss approach that requires little thought or study. The wine goes down easily thanks to those bright cherry, myrtle berry and dried herb aromas. After its alcoholic fermentation, it is pumped over into cement vats where it completes its malolactic fermentation. Some 70,000 bottles were released.
