Made with organic fruit, the Cantalici 2016 Chianti Classico Riserva Baruffo has evolved slightly past its prime, or at least my bottle seems to have done so. The wine presents aged aromas of dried fruit, cassis, spice and red clay or Tuscan terracotta. However, you get a good amount of ripeness here, leading to thicker and richer layers that give momentum to the mouthfeel.
