The 2006 Malvasia dell’Emilia (Malvasia Candia) is a very quirky wine. A sparkling dry white, it reveals plenty of varietal aromas and flavors, but with fizz. The color is somewhat cloudy as is common for wines made in this very natural style. This esoteric white will be at its best over the next year or so. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2009. This small, artisan estate is located outside Parma.
