While this is a decent 2004, Petit-Village could be making much better wine. Already revealing a pink/copper hue at the rim of the dark ruby color, it exhibits herbal, peppery, spicy, black cherry and currant fruit, a round, supple texture, and medium body, but neither the depth nor complexity one would expect of this fine terroir. Drink it over the next 10 years.
