The 2002 Clos St.-Denis, often one of Dujac’s finest wines, was surprisingly light. According to Jeremy Seysses it performed its malolactic fermentation much earlier than the other 2002s, completing it in January 2003 while the others did so between March and June. Light to medium-ruby-colored and offering delicate floral as well as red berry aromas, it is a light to medium-bodied wine. Subtle and elegant, it exhibits pretty red fruit flavors in a feminine, soft format, without the power found in Dujac’s other 2002s. Well-fashioned and with impressive complexity, it is a candidate for drinking over the next 6-7 years.
