Palliser's 2019 Pinot Noir continues in much the same vein as previous vintages, with a savory, dark-fruited profile, muscular structure and ample oak. That said, there appears to be an evolution toward more refinement and elegance, with those plum and cola flavors more precise, the tannins more streamlined and the élevage more subtle. At least this vintage, the result is very pleasing overall, and this medium to full-bodied wine is velvety and nearly opulent in feel, making it the best Palliser Estate Pinot I can recall tasting.
