The 2009 Aquilon is quite showy, and displays rich, savory aromas (salt roasted corn?) with aromas of blackberries, plums and black cherries, quite balanced with plenty of spices and smoke. The palate is full-bodied, with some grainy tannins, but this seem to be ready to be enjoyed with some red meat. 3,160 bottles were filled with the 2009 harvest.
