The 2005 Altair is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Syrah, and 3% Carmenere. Purple-colored, it has a distinguished bouquet of wood smoke, cedar, pencil lead, spice box, blueberry, and blackberry. This is followed by a mouth-filling, opulent wine with incipient complexity, superb balance, and enough structure to evolve for 3-5 years. Drink it from 2013 to 2030. Altair, one of Chile’s icon wineries, is owned by the Dassault family of Saint-Emilion in partnership with Vina San Pedro.Importer: MISA Imports, Dallas, TX; tel. (972) 235- 3834
