The 2000 Condrieu appears to be just as powerful, rich, and concentrated as the 1999. It possesses sweet fruit, an unctuous texture, and plenty of mineral, honeysuckle, flower, and peach/apricot characteristics.
This wine has 25% of the cuvee aged in tank, 25% aged in old barriques, and 50% aged in new oak.This is a negociant offering from one of the brilliant young stars of Gigondas, Louis Barruol. Enjoy it over the next 1-2 years.
